Hey y’all! My name is Cara and I’m a gratitude blogger, and you and I have got something in common. What’s that, you ask? Well, just like you, I was once pondering whether to join Eden Fried’s List Building Challenge. A whole month of dedicated work solely for my email list seemed daunting at first, and being held accountable by other peers in the group, well, I was afraid I just wouldn’t have the time!
But I’ll let you in on a little secret. When blogging is your passion, no matter what you WILL find the time. And this challenge helped me realize that.
At the beginning of the month, I had no idea what I was doing. I come from a graphic design background, but even that didn’t prepare me for the ins and outs of blogging and building an email list. For the longest time I didn’t even fully understand the importance of a list! But Eden helped me realize just how important and effective building and maintaining an email list is.
I learned so much over the course of the month, from simple steps to grow the list, to more in depth thinking and planning on how to nurture the list down the road. Even when I thought I knew what a lesson was going to be about, Eden had jam packed it with more knowledge than I had thought possible. These lessons were easy to digest and implement action.

One of the best things about this challenge was the community. Everyone was so uplifting and supportive, and SO helpful when it came together. People would work together on figuring out an answer for someone else’s question, and there was never any negativity. The other members really helped me feel accountable, and I felt like my opinion and reviews truly mattered.
Throughout the month, I went from having nothing set up, to having multiple freebie opt-ins, a welcome series in action, along with two other email series set up and ready to go!
By the end of the month, I had more than doubled my email list, and it’s still growing today! I think that was my favourite part about this challenge, the tactics Eden taught were tactics that will continue to grow your list far beyond the end of the month. I am so grateful for Eden’s dedication to and time spent creating this challenge, and that I took the plunge and joined the group!
So, to answer your initial question…should you join the List Building Challenge? My answer is a real loud and proud HECK YES! I highly recommend joining, not only will you surround yourself with a community of like-minded and eager bloggers, you will really push yourself to your fullest potential and realize just how successful you can be!
